Yep...I've done a new year in Soldeu and a Christmas in Pas and I had good snow on both occasions. I prefer Soldeu as a resort but Pas is higher so the snow will be more reliable.
No one can tell you what the snow is going to be like this year but going by historical averages it's likely to be fine in Pas. In fact, it's likely to be a hell of a lot better than Bulgaria! :D |

Hi Racey, a warm welcome to the forum from me!
I think you will find everything open as usual on Christmas day. The slopes will be business as usual and I would imagine that Christmas lunch will actually be Christmas dinner at about 7 or 8'ish in the evening. I suspect the decent restaurants will get booked early, so I'd try and find out where there is a good one and book before I go if I were you. I've not been there myself so I can't advise you but I'm sure someone will come along soon who'll know lots. :D |

You'll need to make sure you've packed some 'lyclear' just in case! |

Well I had a fab time at the ski show, fell in love and spent far more than I should have:
http://www.ellis-brigham.com/skis/volkl/700021/kenja-%2b-peak-12  ...But I have no regrets :D 8) It was great to meet up with a few other j2ers especially Sir Admin and his assistants!!! I can't say that anything excited me much apart from the ample shopping oppurtunities and that can be a little frustrating as I always want far more than I can afford. Tony the fashion guru was pleasant company as ever and we were so impressed with his hair do...We're all waiting for a pic of you actually wearing that new hat! I guess that's it for another year...Hopefully I'll see some of you during the winter in (dare I say it) Morzine. :D |
