Need a bit of help as usually ski in Austria. Want to try France this year, driving from the UK over via the Eurotunnel.
Have been looking at various resorts - we are 4th time skiers, hubby more confident than me. I enjoy nice blues/easy reds. What resorts would you recommend? Ideally would like: Ski in/out Few restaurants/bars (will be taking food) as looking to book via homeaway.co.uk or ownersdirect. Parking facilities No bunk beds! So far I've looked at La Plagne, Belle Plagne, Alpe D'Huez & Courchevel. Any advice is welcome as total newbies to skiing in France. Thanks |

I didn't think of ABTA! Hubby looked and they are based in London, have a London telephone number. If they are not ABTA or ATOL though my gut instinct is saying it's a no go. Thanks for your help.

We usually venture to Austria and are new intermediates (I still prefer nice long wide blues!). Which resort is the best for a couple who enjoy skiing with relaxation, abit of apres ski and nice food?

Hey everyone
I've found a good deal via http://www.skiingholidays.com/ and was wondering if they are legit. Hubby and I tend to book package deals with the likes of Crystal Ski, Inghams etc as we are fairly new to this and not sure of who to book through. Any response would be much appreciated :D |

We went to Obergurgl in Feb last year and the snow was excellent. We stayed at the Madeleine.
The link between the two resorts is easily accessible, I preferred Hochgurgl's runs. You must venture up to the Mountain Star, if not a black run skier there is access down via a narrow blue (I think) run. The Nederhutte locted on the blue run back to the main area is a must. Enjoy! |
