Was up at six am to watch it live. Good performances from all 4 ladies. I did think, when Caroline made the left shout she sounded a bit too urgent, and maybe that caused Jade to put a sharp check in. Hitting the gate took a chunk off the speed, shame, but a great performance to deal with the error.
Many of the DSUK instructors I skied with in January knew or skied with Jade.
Hopes for more to come, this team certainly has the talent, the commitment and the training.

And aren't the commentators streets ahead of the young screechers in the main Olympics?
Removable Bindings.

This is how my frau's skis are set up. Skis with fixed rails, and detachable bindings.
So this is how the binding lever is lifted to slide on to the rails.

As packed in the rucsac:

Fitted, in resort, to the ski:

And, how both of our skis fit into one single ski bag:

No SB, they are actually mine, although I know the reason why you might suggest that. I have never been conventional about ski gear. So. I chose Varios, which a a lower intermediate ski, mainly used for group skiing, so I'm know I'm not going to ski at any kind of speed.

Laterally soft, and torsionally stiff, they offer my long suffering knees, all day easy turning.

When I am away by myself, I tend to ski on longer stiffer skis.

Anyway, I spend MUCH more on my frau's skis ~ and they have interesting bindings, too. I will put these on a new thread.

Ha, I have just re-checked your PM from last week ~ of course I know where you are going!

It's kind of good news. Sunny every day, first four days, daytime temps 15 to 16 degrees, so a light jacket. Best skiing will be until 1.00pm. Then time to sit outside the Kropfraderalm, and commune with nature.

Say hi to Gill from me!

Thanks for that, SB. I looked out the contact info for Pete Evans and Andy Taylor. Also was waiting for feedback from Brighams.

However, having good daylight, I was able to see the spring through a small hole in the underside of the toe. I managed to get a small driver behind the thread plate attached to the spring, lever the spring, and get the adjustment screw started. So, it is a fix.

Thanks again.

There were some days where we never shared a chair lift.

Andy, you need to switch to wearing Merino base gear, there won't be any problems thereafter......

Looking for quick assistance ~ I need to complete before Wednesday 5th March. Going skiing on Thursday.

I was moving an Atomic XTL9 toe binding forwards on the rail, to allow a larger shell boot to fit. I also wanted to change the biding pressure. Inadvertently, I have released the pressure screw. Since the screw will not re-engage, I am guessing that it was under jigged spring pressure, when the screw was initially engaged.

Before attempting to open the toe binding further, I would like to assure myself of what is happening inside the construction.

Anyone know of a friendly techie, who is likely to deal with atomic bindings, and who would not mind a phone call?
