:DHi ,

Emailed this queery to Geneva airport and the reply sent back is as follows :D

Dear Jonathan,

Yes the car rental companies have moved. Their new desk are still located in the arrival level, but in the other side following the Post Office. The companies working at the airport are Hertz, Europcar, Budget, Sixt, Avis and National-Alamo.

The car rental's parking has moved as well. It is now located in parking P51. A free shuttle bus is available from the new car rental's desks and from the P51. More information are available here.

Should you have any additional question, please don't hesitate to contact us.

We wish you a merry christmas and a very happy new year!

Best regards

:DHi,

You do not mention whether this is affecting the french side or swiss side?

I rented from the french side the middle (maybe 4 -5 weeks ago) of last month and there was no indication anything was going to change,i cannot see from experience of the layout how they could accommadate this .

I will investigate furthe and see if i can dig something up.

Merry Xmas & Happy New Year :D :D

Hi :D

For a cheap lift pass, the end of the season is best i have found (last skiable week) i usually go to Les Arcs for the last week (season ends 25th april, last skiable day, this season). :(

For the last week the passes are half price (normally) and on the very last day they usually wave the cost altogether, but i normally pay by the day and not for a full pass at the start of the week. :D

I am not sure what other resorts charge for the last week though, also the snow is more often than not excellent which has been the case over the last 4 - 5 years, with even a good foot or so of fresh snow :D

All the best

Lift Pass Prices for Les Arcs This season

:DHi Wanderer,

Good points, i always buy my passes for Les Arcs daily as from one day to the next i am never sure if i will change my mind and decide to spend a day in La Rosiere ,Ste-Foy or L'espace Killy...as all resorts are only a short drive from my apartment.

Also on the full area pass side of things i have never needed to buy one as i dont go to La Plagne as the les Arcs sector has more than enough skiing on/off piste and in my view is the better area :D.

As you rightly say the passes are pretty much in the same ball park as each other with the exception of the much smaller resorts that cannot justify charging the same.

All the best

:DHi All,

Its almost time again and i cannot wait :D a topic that rarely sees the light of day i feel is Lift Pass Prices, i have dug out the prices for the 2008/9 season for Les Arcs as its my back garden so to seak and am wondering how it compares with others :D

Full Paradiski Area (Les Arcs & La Plagne)
6 days adult 243 euros / infants & seniors 182.50 euros
3 days " 132 euros / " " 99 euros
1 day " 47 euros / " " 35.50 euros

Pass Covering Les Arcs 1600,1800,1950,2000 & Peisey Vallandry Sector
6 days adult 203 euros / infants & seniors 152.50 euros
3 days " 114 euros / " " 85.50 euros
1 day " 42.50 euros / " " 32 euros

Infants 6 - 13 yrs & seniors 65 - 71 years (under 6 and over 71 ski for free) :D :D.

In the current financial climate and with the euro exchange rate being so
low :( , are these prices good or bad?

all the best
