Grenoble Airport with 6 months old Baby
Started by User in France, 2 Replies
Hi skisuit :D

Grenoble is a great airport, as by comparison to others it is relatively small...it seems to be about as big as you're local sainsbury's.

Its layout is all on one level ,and on leaving the plane its about a 50 yaralk to a set of double doors, once through those you walk another 20 yards to the passport check, and straight from there its about another 20 yards to the baggage carousel, from there its just a short walk for about a minute to get outside....with carhire etc over the road (not busy as it only serves as the exit for the car hire etc) :D.

From choice i would use Grenoble for all my travelling to my apartment, but i mainly use Geneva for the amounts of available flights on offer, the only downside is that being such a small airport on saturdays at peak holiday times it can be very busy, but you can normally avoid the crowds at these times by travelling out on the earliest flight in the morning. :D

I hope some of this is of help, and have a enjoyable safe trip.

Easyjet

:DHi RoseR,

I have flown with Easyjet three or four times a yeay for the last 4 - 5 years from either Luton to Geneva or Luton to Grenoble ,and have never had a problem.

The flights have always been on time ,and well priced...as for eating with a flight time of only 1hr 20 mins for my usual trip Luton/Geneva i find its not worth bothering about :D.

Al in all i can thoroughly reccommend the big orange bus with with wings :D

All the best

:DHi ,

In the past i have used a company called Ski Miquel (4 or 5 times) in places such as Serre Chevaliere ,St.anton and whistler and i rate them very highly.

Included in the price is accommadation, transfers, lift pass (some stays)cooked breakfast ,three course evening meal with unlimited wine ,and afternoon cakes (freshly baked) and tea.all their chefs are fully trained ,and all this is provided at a very reasonable price.

I hope this gives some food for thought :D :D

Skiing on TV

:DI think there is a Mens GS race on late sunday afternoon (about 5.30pm) on Eurosport :DNot long now ,i can start to smell the log fires ,crisp evening mountain air ,and the smell of savoyard cuisine..mmmmmmmmmmmmmm

On the ski racing theme many slate our team, but to get a top ten placing in any world cup skiing event/race for a non major skiing nation is a massive result considering the amount of ski racers produced in countries such as sweden ,norway ,fance, switzerland ,italy etc :Di look forward to many more good plcings from TeamGB over the winter months :D
