Val Thorens Jan. snow and weather cond?

I like Val Thorens:

1. Nice and high - pretty much guaranteed snow all season
2. Really big ski area with great coverage for all beginners, intermediate and advanced
3. Plenty of places to stay -
4. Contrary to popular belief, it is not that expensive! (waits for slating!!)

This season will be my 4th visit.

Love it

last season, or the one before, it stated snowing late November! Then did not stop until April. I was there in Jan, and will be this year, it was great :-)
