After two years of trying to match in my January Niederau trip with the J2ski trip, I definitely cannot manage this.

I arrive in Austria during the Sauze week. I always celebrate my b/day in the Bichlwirt, (My own personal Harpist, Herbert, will be there) Given that it is a big birthday, (30ish) it cannot be changed. Ok, maybe 40ish. Say no more. I merely quote my skiing age.
So no can do. The upside is that I get to ski with quite a few ex-J2skiers in Niederau.

As ever, I wish the J2skiers well, and one day...
But well done to Ally (and Felthorpe) for their work and skills.

Thanks for the heads up, Bedrock B. Have January accommodation booked. If I get in early, I have different sources for free flights. Should I delay, my points won't get the flights.

Poignant, in that he lived just a few miles from me.

But also, as you say, " doing exactly what I was doing, skiing with his son" ~ as I was doing, in January, and do so in most years.

Our local paper is reporting the death of a Fife skier, from Elie, in an accident last Thursday at La Clusaz. Seems to have been a head injury from a collision with a rock.
