I will check this, but I certainly came off at KS last season. My Niederau ladies will know!

VSB, the whole European bureaucratic ethos is AGAINST local laws and regulations. So now, we can no longer choose to buy our preferred vacuum cleaner....
Also, the Swiss rates of pay may be considered by the recipients of the average rates of European pay as slightly over the edge of "slave labour". By a significant Utopean multiple. |

That is true about Saalbach. Also true about Niederau, due to it's north facing slopes, and snow collecting behind the tree lines.
The Schiwelt is good but also varied. The Oetztal is a good shout but is more expensive. |

That isn't correct. You must come off the Autobahn at Kufstein-Sud, then follow the Wörgl signs. It adds only a few minutes to the journey. |

Don't miss the chance to ski Blackcomb Glacier, it's a really good run.
Watch out for the infamous Whistler white-out weather, and head for tree-lined areas. Take good quality clothing, it can be seriously cold. |

The strengthening UK/€ exchange rate, is likely to mean even better DIY overall costs c/w T/Os.The T/Os tend to fix their costs early, often tied to a rate from a year ago.
Flight costs. I use points to get free flights, but return easyjet flights to Munich are £82, lower than the past two years. Plus £30 baggage. Transfer cost, (train/taxi), unchanged in Euro price for 5 years, but 10% lower in £ than 3 years ago. So now £64. Accomodation, I pay €22/night, my share of an apartment, higher than this for my normal solo trip, since I take an apartment for myself. Add in some breakfast cost, this would be £170. Dinners £70/week. Lift pass £168 Total £584.00 That is not what I pay for a pass, since I always buy a large area season pass, either the AllStar or the Tirol, cost reduced by advanced purchase. Even if you choose to go with a T/O, either buy your lift pass in resort, or on the transfer bus, after checking that you will get the local price. Hence Obergurgl is quoted at £226 in a brochure, but bought locally at today's exchange rate would cost £202. Another benefit of DiY, is that you could travel on a Friday, and come back on on a Sunday, ie 8 days skiing rather than 6 days, reducing the cost/ski day. (In my case a week or two more) |

I have to agree with Atomicboots, the standard of Bulgarian ski school is good.

Crystals have repositioned their business in the past 4 years, widening the market cover. This year they have extended their service, making a feature of the links with Disability Snowsport, (I ski with DS each year), and free learn to ski packages.
At the same time, Inghams chased the market downwards, (the result of a new CEO). |
