It's always the knees, and it's always football...
I ruptured my right ACL playing football, had surgery on it a year ago. On Sunday I go for my first ski trip post-op.... hope it is all ok... |

Sorry, just realised that you need a Crystal booking ref to access that page... Not that I don't trust any of you but I don't fancy publishing my holiday booking ref on a public web forum!
However I found the resort map, Crystal have just poached it from La Thuile's own site: http://www.lathuile.it/download.asp?file=/elementi/www/_cartine/cartina%2060x42%20la%20thuile.pdf Here's some of the stuff from Crystal's info pack: If you're on holiday with your family you'll be looking for ideas of things to see and do with the kids. We've put together our top tips for La Thuile to help. Top Tips l A children's playground is located next to the travelator behind the Planibel apartments l The Planibel swimming pool is free for hotel guests but a charge is applicable for customers staying in the apartments l An Ice Rink is located in the old town near to the hotel Le Miramonti. There are both afternoon and evening skating sessions and it is €10 for adults and €5 for children l Rent bum-boards and sledges from both hire shops in the town centre l Try a chocolate fondue in the chocolate shop located in the old town l There is a Fantasia children's club in Planibel l Snow-tubing located behind Planibel Apartments. Great fun and includes hot chocolate or mulled wine l Takeaway pizzas are perfect for the kids. Get them from Pizza & Co in the Planibel complex l A games room with pool table, bucking bronco and other arcade games is available in the Planibel complex l La Cage aux Folles has a great value children's menu. Includes pasta, burgers, ice creams and a drink Eating out l Buy a Crystal Discount card widely accepted in bars and restaurants both in resort and on the slopes l Takeaway pizza from Pizza & Co in Planibel complex is good food for great value l Stock up on food supplies from the Supermercato and the butchers in Planibel to cook your own delicious meal or make a tasty lunch l La Grotta restaurant in the old town makes good pizzas starting at €5 l La Cage aux Folles has a great value children's menu at just €8 including pasta, burgers, ice creams and a drink l La Buvette above the lift pass office is great to ski in from the slopes for a cheap snack and our favourite Vin Brulee! Local bars l Footie fans should head down to La Cage aux Folles where they play loads of matches, including the Champions League l The Coq Maf bar in the old town is great for cocktails and a lively atmosphere l For a great apres drink head to La Cage aux Folles on the Plannibel complex - they offer free aperitivi l A good night in town is always at the King's Pub, a great atmosphere and a good selection of drinks Resort l A Free ski bus to Courmayeur is included in your lift pass l Pre Saint Didier is also accessible on the free bus included in your lift pass Hope this is useful! Thanks for all this info guys, I am also going to La Thuile (9 sleeps to go.... w00t) so this is all really useful stuff!
There is also a bit more info here: http://www.crystalski-ipack.co.uk/ski/La-Thuile/Home We are going with Crystal, so some of this stuff is specific to them (rep phone numbers etc) but there is a map of the resort and some useful info in the "iPack" (I want to stab whoever called it that).
