Anyone else in the same boat as me?

I work for an evil faceless multinational bank who block various websites - facebook, youtube, etc.

However, the worst crime is that the majority of ski resort webcams are blocked!

"Audio/Video Clips" content is only permitted on Exception by EvilBank policy.

Gaaahhhh!! It's miserable here!

66 sleeps until Val D'Isere.

We usually go in the second week of January, so this year it is incredibly difficult to have to wait until the end of Feb!
Your most spectacular fall ?

Myself and the missus decided to go to Serre Che with friends, and it was our second ever week skiing. On our first holiday the previous year, we were in ski school, and had progressed to a couple of red runs by the end of the week.

Naturally, we thought on our first day of our second holiday a year later we could jump straight on to a steep red, of course egged on by our friends.

It all started out fine, but we came to a steep bit and both of us simultaneously bottled it, and went over forwards. We both proceeded to slide down about 500 feet head first, on opposite sides of the slope, synchronised swimming style.

Our friends told us we looked awesome, we didn't believe them.
Now only 62 sleeps until St Anton :)
Resort advice, green runs

Have a look at Serre Chevalier as well.

There is a really good green up in the main bowl above Villeneuve that would probably suit - not tree lined, but is really wide and long, and has enough of a slope that your wife can practice technique without pole-ing or walking.

There are a couple of tree lined greens that take you back to the village as well, which may involve a bit of walking.
Ski boots - hand baggage or checked in

This did annoy me this year - after being charged £60 for excess baggage by Thomson, we then ended up sitting next to some guy who spilled over his seat, and my wife could not get her tray table out of the armrest as his belly sides were resting on it. One of his belly flaps would have weighed more than the 6kg we got charged extra for, so why did he not get charged any excess baggage?
Going to St Anton in March, might have to check this out so I know what I am letting myself in for!
