Glad the occupants got out okay , pretty manic spot of weather, just text my mate who lives down the valley in Villaroger to see how they are there.

Hi,

That's good news Iceman, look's like they may well be having a couple of extra days out there....imagine the chaos with snow like that back here in the UK :(

Hi All,

Due to the now dangerous conditions being experienced in many places across the Alps due to the heavy snow and storms , here is the SnowForecast.com interactive map.

http://www.snow-forecast.com/maps/dynamic/alps

Just hover over the red dot's until you find your resort then click where it says play to see the forecasted snow fall over the next few days. If you click on the red dot it will take you to the resort in question for temperatures etc.

If anyone is going out in the next few days have a safe trip.

Hi,

Again hope he's okay. Here's the link for the European Alps interactive snow forecast map on SnowForecast.com.

http://www.snow-forecast.com/maps/dynamic/alps

Just hover over the red dots until you find your chosen resort highlighted , then click where it says play to see the coloured weather patterns indicating the snowfall forecast over the next few days.....to be honest on top of whats already fallen, it doesn't look good for travel plans etc.

I think there are going to be a lot of delays due to bad weather and heavy snow for several days yet.

Take care everyone.

Hi Iceman,

Hopefully there has been no-one hurt , I read that some resorts due to the huge storm's that have hit resorts have dumped over a metre of snow just today alone.....apparently Val Thorens and Les Menuires have been hit also.

I hope your friend is okay , and that goes for all out in the Alps at this time.

Figures obtained from a Freedom of Information request I made the latter part of last year unfortunately.....cases still pending , they may have got rid of a few by now though.

Anyway as this is a skiing site no more said, and onto the skiing related threads and topics :D
