I'd never even heard of Niderau before coming on here, now I feel I know the resort intimately  even though unlikely to ever visit.

Snap!

Though I agree it's just banter that may, on occassion, get out of hand. Admin wont stand for racism though (against the Austrians French or anyone) and thats as it should be

So just sit back, have a glass of Gluwine, and enjoy!

Felt like it too when I had a "taster" boarding afternoon in VT once.....

To be fair though I'd rather board down that than ski down the other approach into town (past the Club Med) if its like last year with more ice than snow and beginners carnage everywhere....

 Your so right, you mean the run just over the bridge? That's absolute carnage every afternoon as people ski back over to VT?...

Tony... It might well be a red but it's still used for the beginners, last yr they marked half of it off for turning around cones.

That's the run I mean!

Last year had a toss up for getting home from Meribel/Courchevel as to which was the lesser of two evils: that one or come down the short black from Col de la Chambre (Goitschel) into Plein Sud and dodge all the nutters fresh from the Folie Douce heading down the "path" to my chalet via the 270 degree bend!

This morning, the reliefs are stocked with frequent fog in the mountains. A rain-snow limit towards 1500 and 1000 m. This afternoon, showers mainly affect reliefs with the cold.

Not entirely sure what that means, but it is snowing.

Yay!

Don't you just love direct translation from French!

I have no idea what it means either but roll on 17th Jan and I'll give you a first hand report from the Bellevarde!
Disappointing but sensible!

The Geneva flight from Newcastle has gone at 2:20pm for the last 10 years or so (sadly its Chambery at daft o'clock this year) do I'm not quite the lout you think!!!!! ;-)

I really don't know how people can do that. Early drinking that is.
It makes me feel a little queasy to see people knocking back pints of beer at 8am with breakfast at the airport. I just don't get that at all

I'd never have beer with breakfast - beer is breakfast that day!

I rarely drink generally, this is just my thing to start my holiday. I recently flew to Arizona with a midday flight and it never occurred to me to have a drink as that was work travel.

I've got a pair of Iakley straight jackets in Livestrong black and yellow and they're great. Plastic frames too - as noted above there's something about metal that worries me for skiing/MTB ing, oh and Metal's cold to put in your face after goggles!
