Further to Swingbeep's input, I would caution against pre-booking a train/bus ticket, unless the ticket is an open one. Because of the nature of Innsbruck;s geography, there can be diversions or delays.
I would also go for a single, (there isn't usually much of a financial advantage on return anyway. That gives you a week to chat up the local reps for a return lift on their coach. |

Phil, Seefeld may well be OK, with a village height of 1200m, c/w Mayrhofen at 600m. You do not say what standard your daughter is. Seefeld is rated good for beginners.
At 1930m, Obergurgl is even better. I suggest the Hotel Sportiv, which has access to the sister hotel (the Crystal) leisure facilities, and is 5m from the Gondola. Neustift would be bullet proof, because ofaccess to the Stubai Glacier. As things stand, I would be inclined to let the deposit stand in the Seefeld hotel, as long as possible. In the event that you have to make a change, from the alternatives, my experience would have me choose Obergurgl. |

That's the weekend I go.
The purpose of the question is, if you knew where you were going, you could contact your selected ski hire shop in advance, and ask them about possible choices. |

Do you know where you are skiing?

can anyone recommend going to Scotland for a weekend of family skiing and boarding?

Even 1m visibility! Yes. I could not see past my knees!
Yes, most years, I get some bluebird days in Scotland ~ but I don't do any planning until the day before. |

LOTA, would it make a difference if you were prepared to book the 5 days? ie is this a cost or a procedural issue?
You could try a direct appeal to the head of the ski school. |

Oo, maybe you have the solution in your post ~ you are hiring. So, change your skis every couple of days. Discuss the issue with the ski hirer, and they may assist you with strategic choices.
