I forgot to mention the lift pass includes a couple of days in Courmayuer (there's a free bus) and you can have a days in Cervinia as well

I have flat feet and when i got my ski boots I bought a proper pair of orthotics that were made especially for me...I had to stand on some equipment and they were set to my feet.....on one ski trip my bag was picked up by some other s-d who did not return them until the next week...I had to hire a pair of boots and even though I tried many I was in agony throughout that week ...I even thought about BOARDING ...If you need them or are even thinking about them...get them ..there's nothing worse than a pair of painful boots...and they last for years as you are not flexing them...but you don't need them as a matter of course as there is no pressure put on the feet in the same way as running ...take the advice of a boot fitter before you go

Chamonix....lots of things to do..but the skiing is a bit spread out...or how about Bourg St Maurice...nice town and Les Arcs at the top of the Funicular...Mayerhofen ...lots of everything with good links

NOTHING can look as bad as Avoriaz...VT is not too bad ..not your picturesque resort by any means but it doesn't jar too much...and the skiing is excellent
