I really feel for you Sami - my son is going through a similar thing at the moment and I'm trying to be a good Mum and listen/advise/say all the right things etc. ) (Actually, I feel like smacking someone really hard!)

P.S. If anyone can recommend some very long fitting snowboard pants that would be great. I'm 6ft 5" tall, so will need some in the region of a 36" inside leg. Yes, I am a freak!

It's a long shot - but have you looked in TKMAXX who often have quite a bit of reasonably priced decent snow clothing?

I have just e-mailed by son-in-law as he is also 6ft 5in to find out what make his salopettes are. However, he and my daughter are out shopping for more ski wear at the moment so the reply may take some time! )
Les Arcs would fit the bill if a deal can be found. Take a look at Folgarida in the Italian Dolomites though - great for beginners but is linked to Marilleva and Madonna. There is a bus to Passo Tonale also.
