I have booked flights to Geneva on 11th April for a little trip away after i get married on 8th April. Question is which resort are we best heading to for the best snow at that time of the season? We are hiring a car so we are pretty flexible. Thanks!

I've just had a couple of friends return from Whistler and they said there is plenty of coverage, but the pistes were just hit and miss. Some of the high traffic one's were hard packed and icy they said. They also said they still had a ball though! :-D

I wrote this review a while back on a Bolle Visor Helmet i have, very good over glasses! Hope it helps...

I really liked the helmet, it was really warm and the adjustable vents made it easy to cool your head down if it got a bit too hot.
The whole visor idea on top of the helmet is exceptional. I only really used the bad light visor when conditions were windy and visibility poor. I found the visor gave a better field of view than a normal pair of goggles and more of your face was covered. Foam over the nose shape and on the underside of the visor ensured draft was minimal. I wore the visor with a buff which covered all my face (bar my eyes obviously!) and not once did the visor steam up. So all in all a fantastic piece of kit and brilliant for anyone who hates having to carry goggles around with them.

You can also use this visor on top of glasses. I did try mine on top of my sunglasses and again no steaming up occurred of either my sunglasses or the visor itself.

In a word, no. Not yet anyway.

Anything beyond a week is subject to a lot of change but right now all the forecast models are pretty much aligned; there should be a pause of a day or two around the middle of next week... after which more snow!

It's starting to look likely that the high pressure currently over France and UK - that's effectively been blocking the cold and snow in Austria - will move away (hopefully North-West-ish) to allow it into the French Alps. So, fingers crossed, that might mean the snow keeps coming but gets spread over a wider area... kind of. Maybe! :lol:

Admin - just wondering what the forecasting models are looking like for Austria? Are there any signs this snow is going to let up in the next few weeks at all??
