Hi Phil,

You can get a helicopter to Alpe D'Huez. I've done it a few times and it works really well, was €65 return last time I did it. You also get a day in Serre Chavalier including on your lift pass. Tour Operators usually run a coach there for €30 return.

Hope this helps!!

LOTA, ncouse - many thanks for your in depth responses. As i am meeting up with a group who have already booked through Crystal, i am travelling alone - so it was really expensive for a taxi transfer. I have just booked through OBB and total travel time to Soll is 1h50, so not too bad and only £23 return!!

Ncouse, have you skied Soll/Skiwelt before?

Thanks

Hi folks,

Hope you're all well and ready for the winter!

Trying to book transfer from Salzburg to Soll using public transport - OBB i think it's called.

I can't see how to book a return journey though or is it a case of booking 2 single journeys?

Anyone used Austrian trains before?

Thanks!
Admin wrote:FWIW, I think Ranchero has it right - those would be good skis for you to progress on. We're assuming, of course, that they're sized correctly for your weight and height?
Rather than make a loss, why not set them as your target for next season? Do some "dry land" training in the meantime; anything you can do to improve your fitness and balance will speed progress from your current level and you might find you only need one more trip (with lessons) to get comfortable on these.
If you're within reach of a fridge (Hemel?) then work out what you'd lose by selling the skis, and spend it on lessons instead...
Then you'll be no worse off than you are now, but a better skier, and with some nice skis! 8)

Woah woah Admin and Ranchero_1979, if the man wants to sell - let him sell -) No, joking aside Ski6002 I have to agree with them both, i'd keep hold of them if you can afford to, you will be loving them in a few years!! That said... let me know what you decide
Hi Jamie,

Are these still for sale? How much are you looking for?

You say above "Unfortunately due to my ability they are not suited to me." What does this mean? Too advanced for you or not advanced enough?

Thanks
In Australia.... Hope the snow is good out there for everyone! Hoping to fit a quick week in at the beginning of March. Be safe all!
Is it frowned upon....

To sell items on here?

Reason being, I ended up with 2 of those Bolle Visor Helmets!(long story)

So was just wondering if anyone on here was interested in it?

:D

ADMIN: Sorry if this gets me in trouble -)

I've just returned from LDA and lower down the snow is poor. Cretes and above is ok, but could do with a bit more snow to firm things up a bit.

That said, it has forecast snow on and off for the next couple of weeks, so you should be ok! :)
