A big loss to the skiing world. |

Correct me if i'm wrong, but i'm pretty sure that chalet featured in an episode of Top Gear where the 3 of them raced from London to Verbier? The end of the programme shows Jeremy Clarkson sat outside of a chalet (having won!)

I have never been to Isola 2000, but i do know it's pretty
small when compared to L2A which, as you say has much more snow than Isola 2000. Having been to L2A a couple of times I would say switch. It is a fantastic ski area which has lots to offer! Also included on your L2A ski pass is one day to Alpe D'Huez and another to Serre Chevalier. From memory you can get a helicopter from L2A to Alpe D'Huez for 65 Euros return and a coach to Serre Chevalier for 25 Euros return. I did both trips when i was in L2A and they were fantastic! Hope this helps! :D |

I will hopefully be skiing here in February, staying in a friends chalet. So, we will need to arrange our own transfers. I have looked at some websites and they say there is no direct coach transfers?
Surely this can't be correct? I don't fancy paying a few hundred Euro's for a taxi! Also, not skied Montgenèvre before - what's it like? Any response gratefully received! Thanks! :) :) |

Really good report. I'm going this saturday (think this will be my 3rd time in a row at ADH).
I agree with the Sarenne comments, good at the beginning and not enough to offer towards the end. Le Tunnel however - what a run! It's pretty steep and as if thats not enough the moguls are pretty awesome too!! All in all a great resort with a vast array of runs for everyone to enjoy!! |
