Don't skimp on ski lessons - they will provide you with the bedrock for years of enjoyable skiing in future!
I would also recommend Where to Ski and Snowboard as an excellent and comprehensive resource, particularly when it comes to vslue for money and the respective resort costs. I've found it to be honest and inclusive in its appraisals and unlike a previous poster find it gives credit to many different types of resorts! |

I went on a Ski-Plan trip to Sauze in 1973 and we flew Dan Air to Turin on a BAC 1-11. It was Easter and instead of ski pants, most of us tearaways had jeans that were waterproofed!
Them were the days! |

Possibly a different company - it was always a very exciting moment in the early 1970s when the new Ski-Plan (with a hyphen) brochure came out.
Skiplan's website say they've been organising trips for 14 years; Ski-Plan was of much earlier vintage! |

Idling in town today and to kill a moment or two, went into Thomas Cook, where I found a brochure for the winter from Cosmos.
Didn't know that company (or brand) was still operating. What's next? The return of Horizon or Swan's or, perhaps, Ski-Plan? -) |

One of the first signs of winter...however, beautifully made as they are, once you've seen one Warren Miller film, you've seen them all!

Is that Johnson or Johnstone?
Like this plan, even though very difficult to get to from where I live. |

Escape the tyranny of tour ops by arranging your own flights or train! No driving needed!
