Yes. If mine were in the cold I would need to wait for them to reach room temp. before I could get them on. Keep them in the room.

A fall avoiding a collision that could (potentially) not happen? You could be talking A-road speeds slowing you down to a crash at 20/30mph which could still cause serious injury. Not for me, sorry.

You are only 40 miles or so from CEM in Bicester who, by all accounts, is great at what he does. Why not make the trip? Either that or see if you can change your buckles over yourself. I moved mine and all it took was a few turns with an allen key.

A parachute? If you were going fast the deployment of a parachute (presumably from your back) could cause you to fall regardless.

Why not just see a boot fitter about your current boots? Buckles can be moved etc, I am sure if they are correctly fitted boots then they can be adapted to fit growth.
