Anyone know if Saalbach is good mid-march? I see its 1000m to 2000m, so I'm doubting it. Edging towards St Aanton at the mo, trying to find a central hotel for skilifts!
Thanks A & J, very much appreciated, investigating your ideas at the moment, will let you know the outcome
Hi all,

Shortly heading on our first trip of the season to Mayrhofen, and we want to book a second trip before we leave. Our only chance to get away will be mid march, most lightly the 12th to 19th.

Can anyone recommend where we would get guaranteed snow at that time, preferably another resort in Austria, but open to others. We went to Soll that time last year, started to get really slushy, obviously its too low for Mid March skiing. We will have two second time skiers, the rest of our group are advanced.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Thanks a million guys, will give some consideratioon before booking. One of our team said that Flachau connects via ski lifts to surrounding slopes, maybe >100Km sking available. Any idea if this is true?
Flachau Anyone??

Hi,

Just wondering if anyone has any info on Flachau as a resort. We have mostly strong intermediate/advanced skiers in our group, with one or two newbies for school. Interested in good apres ski. We're not really on a budget. How is it set-up for linking to other resorts?
Looking to go first week in January, any idea of trends on snow there?

Thanks, look forward to leveraging from your brains!

Bought a North Face Summit series jacket in Chamonix and the shop recommended tumble drying to restore the waterproof and breathability, recommended the same thing when I bought Alpha salo's in Ireland

Are you sure that was the most pointless item you bought olly 1 to 9, that ski jacket looks pretty impulsive.......

Hi all,

Two Irish boys heading to Soll for a few days in early March, looks like the pistes are empty over there at the moment. Anyone else heading to Soll?

Snow is bucketing down over there today :P
