Getting to Worgl from Munich Airport
Started by User in Austria, 18 Replies
Kufstein IS 11 Km from Soll, Worgl is 13.5 Km from Soll......Both towns are on the same track, so you get to Kufstein ~15 mins before you get to Worgl....so yes, it does look a better option.....as long as all the trains stop at Kufstein!!

Ally, Inns, Dave,

Thanks so much for your help and direction......so heres the plan....

My flight gets in at 18:55, so I'm looking at the 20:04 train, 1 change (I'm presuming at Munchen Ost).

From Worgl I'm gonna get a taxi to Soll, it will be too late in the night to be waiting around depending on buses.

My return on the Saturday should be smoother, looks like there are alot more trains available in the afternoon.

Thanks again folks.

Ally, Inns,

Thanks for that, really appreciate it.

Going to have to go the train route, taxi's for 2 working out at €250 plus!!

Innsbrucker, one question, with Soll as my final destination, is Worgl Hbf the closest station?

Thanks again folks

Hi folks,

Wondering if anyone knows how to get to Worgl from Munich Airport.

I believe it will take two trains, but what are the name of the stops? Is there a site for booking tickets?

Keeping it lit.
Yep, short stroll thru town to get to the gondola, fairly central, you'll love it.

Westendorf

I was in Westendorf last week, some really nice runs, and the snow was better than in Soll, Ellmau, etc.

Not sure about the night life, i hear its quiet. Soll was mental though!
Soll 2010

Just got back from Soll on Saturday, have to say the place is in great shape. A little icey in places, but pretty goos snow cover otherwise.

I would recommend a days skiing to Ellmau, Hopfgarten, and Wesendorf if at all possible. Lots of snow in Wesendorf, and the slopes are practically empty.

The Salvenstadl bar in Soll is rocking at the moment, so well worth a trip. Postwirt for a pint if you want a chat, but the band on Wednesday night are very good.

After that, the Whiskey Muhle is good if your young, free and single, while the restaurant upstairs is first class, slightly expensive though. Rossini's is nice too, with the ladies behind the bar quiet easy on the eye!

All in all, I love Soll, not too challenging i'm afraid, but 279Km of interconnected skiing is very enjoyable.
Anyone got any news on when the Skiwelt (Soll, Ellmau, Scheffau etc) is opening fully? Only 13Km available yet.....hope its soon.
