And judging by your reactions, "N" is a pretty good place! Had a looksie at the piste map, the local area and the like - looks amazing! I've never skied anywhere in Austria, but it is a family/beginners resort - which i'm happy with seeing as it's my first season too! Really can't wait.. |

Hey again guys! Just here to keep you all informed - I received all the details about my training and placement!
Flying out on the 1st of December to Söll, Austria where i'll be training for 4 days with my employers; Directski.com and then i'll be there an extra 2 - 3 days training with the Austrian team! After that i'll be going to Niederau where i'll be placed for the winter season! I've heard a lot about Niederau from you guys on here, a lot of good chat about the place. If anyone wants to throw in their own about Söll or Niederau - things to look out for and the like - feel free - It'll be a great help! Already started researching these resorts and checking the piste maps! Gonna get planning some routes and work out my way around the resort, check out the accommodation and all the rest of it :XD: AHHHHHH! I'm actually so excited.. Like.. Kate, do you (or anybody else) drive to ski resorts regularly or have done before?
How do you find it? Is it worth the cost of fuel and time compared to flights and resort transfers? I've considered maybe driving to a ski resort in Europe from here (Sunny Scotland) one year - mainly because it does sound interesting, driving through the countries and all the mountains - would be great experience and all of that scenery.. yes please! Just wondering how the cost works out in comparison to flying + buses? :) As for the apartment - well found. Nice price for the 3 of you! |

I have never skied in Slovenia, or even visited the country for that matter so I haven't really looked into it much before.
Crystal go there and as far as i'm aware, anywhere which the larger tour operators offer holidays to must be reliable - Don't take my word for it though! From what I have seen in the photos and reading about the resorts, it looks and sounds beautiful. http://www.crystalski.co.uk/destinations/slovenia/slovenia.html Anybody out there with experience skiing Slovenia? |

France is expensive?.. I was quite impressed with the prices in Meribel and Alpe D'Huez!
