I find it hard to understand
1 why a guide or an instructor is necessary to lead competent skiers around on blue and red runs. 2 Why an instructor or guide would want to spend their time showing skiers around the easy runs when they could be teaching/guiding I've had some great days out on hosting days, always great fun and to get to know the staff away from the chalet. I've never seen a situation on a hosted day where a guide or instructor was needed. |

You've lost me. How is skiers relying on an app to guide them around the mountain a victory for dedicated ski professionals?

It is usually drained down every ten years for maintenance, however it was drained last year at this time too so must be a bit more going on.

A ski with a rocker will ski around 10cm shorter. Plus if they are a softer ski than you have skied on before, they'll feel different, having a lot less ski in contact with the snow. No reason to suspect that they weren't in good condition. You were just on a ski designed for skiing off piste. |

Did the skis have a rocker? Could just be the skis skiing shorter than you are used to.
