Hi Steve3502, how did your mum get on, did she enjoy the experience, is she hooked. as i said previously we took skiing up at 57yrs now 59 and both of us absolutely love it. have started to look for next yr think we will go back to Niederiu but prices still very high. we try to go each week to chill factor, husband still learning but coming on fantastic, me trailing behind somewhat. but everytime that ski lift pass times out i want to be out there again. love it, hope your mum did to.

hi, just returned 1st time visit and we loved it. husband went into improvers and managed several red runs, i learned to parallel ski. Rudi was my instructor and had the patience of a saint never giving up on anyone and always pushing for that litle bit extra. tons of snowfall eric in ski hire said we were lucky he has known the slopes green at this time of year, but we got 1ft of snow for 2 nights running. can't wait to go back next year, hoping to take our grandchildren then. Hope everyone else had as good a time as we did. I am going to do a parallel skiing improver at the chill centre in Manchester. :D

i tried the shorter ski on the dry ski slope and i felt much happier with it. can you please tell me if there is some kind of assessment for the length of ski you are given. what does it depend on. thank you.

Hi, yes i hope so, when we started last year we went to romania and spent a week in ski school. one of my 'problems' was that i moaned about the skis being too long for me. i really did not know and no one told me that you could actually get a shorter ski!!! doh. have now tried a shorter ski and felt more confident, (well a little more). can anyone tell me if i will be able to request these at ski hire. last year while waiting turn and turn in ski school my ski's got bunged up and i was unable to kick it off, our instructor said she would have them waxed. i had no idea what a di
fference this would make, they took on a life of their own, never again. bridget jones had nothing on me. |

Hi, husband and i started skiing for first time last year both aged 57yrs. going again 21st march to niederau and hoping plenty of snow, we loved the experience and the only sorrow is that we have left it late in life to have years and years of skiing. husband is going into improvers class this year i am going back to basics, confidence is slow growing.

Hi Allie, thanks for reply hope you have a good time, let me know how you go on. although i am really looking forward to our dept on the 21/3 still worried re snow. i have no idea what people do if the snow is not good. one of my fears is that the (nursery) slopes might be icy. anyway hey-ho we will see. take care, mal.
