Have to say, I benefitted 10fold from mine and have dried them over radiators but they are still as good as they were when bought

We were in livigno last year first week in April where it was 20degrees on the slopes and the snow held up great-it's from 1800 o 200 m I think though

Perhaps it has something to do with the gliding over the snow with, as trenches said, the right wax whereas with edges they won't have any wax so will tug and pull as they dig IMO the snow instead of washing over it |

I don't have first hand experience but I do know that when the Bristol uni ski team came out to Italy to train for a week they flew with Swiss air via Munich because of the ski carriage benefits-they were each carrying 2or3 sets and they were free
