Afternoon Swingbeep...I did precisely what you said there and last week sold the 7tms for £100 on eBay!! By way of a thank you for your advice (i'd never have known the value of them without it!) do you have a particular favourite charity? If so shout up as I would like to donate £20 to them from my festive profits!

Just about to book a week in 3valleys for early Jan with some friends too, things are looking good this Christmas!

Thanks Swingbeep, what would your thoughts on 'really cheap' be? i've watched a decent youtube vid on fitting your own bindings so whilst i'm no usual DIY kinda guy i'd certainly give it a shot. Get the skis on and see how they go.

Good day fellow snow enthusiasts...

So yesterday my new boots (Head Vector 110), bought in Andorra in March, were given their first taste of the white stuff at Snowdome in Tamworth.

Out of the blue i get a message from a friend who has spotted some skis in a charity shop...£20 he says...i'm picturing some 1940s wooden things ha! Anyway, i may well have wasted £20 today but though where better than to get some advice on exactly that than here.

They are 'Rossignol Bandit Respect' (hard to read the text on them1)& have cross country bindings on them so i suppose question 1 is how do i go about getting them off and some downhill ones fitted, is this even possible or are those now on there for life? They are 166cm, i think when hiring in the past i get given 160-163 but i'm 173cm myself and a quick google on size says 160-180 so within parameters?

Any advice and guidance appreciated folks.

i'm heading to La Plagne sunday and have lloked at the Class 3 ESF lessons although based on your description i wonder if it's perhaps beyond me and i should go for Class 2. What's your level of experience?

Anyone going to be in the Paradiski area during this week? i'm travelling alone and while i'm sure there'll be lots of smashing folk in the chalet i'm staying at it'd be great to meet and ski with a fellow J2Skier or two :-)
