It was the combination of events and place, Tony. I only caught the last part of the prog and you only saw flashes of the runs.

Oh, and people going down in a gondola!

Well not true, I made that up!

The problem with Brides-les-bain is the half hour Gondola ride from the town up to the main ski area. And the half an hour down again.

Just watching a TV prog on channel 4 from Maryhofen, by Xbox. Featuring loads of groups, music, Ahorn, Penken, Fitz, snowbombing.

Tony, I have to confess this looks brill. Filmed 4th & 5th/4/08.

A lot of the music is before my time, but there you go.....

That's it Hirsty, usually a great pub atmosphere in Edinburgh. Went with No 2 son to watch when Jono Lomu played. My son wore the Scots shirt, I wore the silver fern on black.

That's fair enough, whenever we watch an England international together on the tele, he has always managed somehow to obtain the opposition's shirt.

Dave, I think that you speak for all of us, it's a wonderful result. What a site J2ski is. You talk to people that you have never met, but you feel you know them, and for people that have experienced injuries worse than our own, we feel for them.

Caron, this is sooo good. You have clearly worked hard, and deserve this bonus. Use it well. If you can manage to get to an easy ski resort, this will do so much for the confidence aspect, while also helping you to understand how well you have recovered.

I do understand the point that you make about feeling protected by the ski brace, and many people will take a view on this. We have a lady tennis player who says she could not play without the hinged brace. Yet I watch her hitching the brace up, as it slips a couple of inches, and I wonder how much good it is really doing, and how much is a psyschological crutch.

Brilliant, well done, but, keep doing the exercises. :-)

I'm thinking about moving my birthday this year to January 25th

Ian, just do it. The queen has two birthdays. Don't tell your relatives. Just quietly let your ski mates know that you are having a birthday bash in the Bichlwirt, Niederau, 25th Jan. You will get heaps of pressies, free drinks, you can do it every year.

Yes, I know it's a scam, but it works great, trust me.

My Jan b/day is authentic, but 20 odd years ago, at an instant when I was heaps ahead in brownie points, my OH asked what might I like for my b/day. I put on my best soulful look, and said, "A lift pass for Niederau would be nice" It always works! Now it has become a right!
So who is off next

Is that right Dave? Do you have access to secret info?

Does Tino look like Heidi?
