Yeah, that's it, Smudge. No point in beating about the bush.
Women's work. And I have Frau Mac's permission to say that..... |

As Wanderer says, if you are close to the Nassereinbahn gondola, just hoof the gear back to the hotel.
Then, in the morning, when one of your party has forgotten their gloves/pass/hat, it is an easily forgotten episode.... #ohyesthishashappenedmanytimesbutIjustwentskiinganyway..... |

I have hired cars from Munich Airport for most of the past 12 years. This year, being a big group year, I have hired a 9 seater minibus.
For the past 4 years, Auto Europe have been offering cars with winter tyres included in the "Product". It would be pretty difficult to hire a car that was not fitted with winter tyres. The product description is clear. Auto Europe consistently offer the best price, or close enough. They also have a system of price matching, should you subsequently find a better rate ~ even a better AE rate. For the stated period, winter tyres are mandatory in Austria and Germany between the end of October and the end of March. Hence, it would be difficult/illegal for any hire company to offer summer tyres. |

I'm sorry stayks, sniff, but I refuse to discuss Fieberbrunn. After an aeon of exemplary driving in Tirol, I was done for speeding in FB. 34 in a 30. (kph, not even a proper speed limit)!
They never bothered when I went at 3 times that speed on skis! I gave the money to my son to pay, as he was due to go out there, hence I paid my dues. On the brighter side, I gained a lot of Street Cred with my ski buddies ~ "didya hear, Macs been done for speeding in Austria ~ without skis...." |

Dave is a pretty determined character, and carries out his prep work in a thorough manner.
He may yet turn out to be among the most successful of British skiers. |
