Personally I have never really used them...even when I have stayed in a chalet with a "host" I found that I liked to go at my own pace and do my own exploring...and that the group did rather too much waiting around...it can only go at the speed of the slowest...they wee good for tips and different routes to try but I wont really miss them

I have to have custom foot-beds for my boot...I couldn't ski without them,,,the best investment I have made and they last for years...go to a boot fitter and get measured properly..
