Probably, but this luxury will likely be as pointless as Chanel skis and ski clothing...
Where to ski close to Geneva

Jura is a mountain range. There are few ski resorts in Jura but they are very small and mainly cater for local residents. Skiing their while limited can be still good in a good snow year. Anyway, there are lot of resorts you can get to in two hours drive from Geneva. Both in France and Switzerland - either side of Portes de Soleil, Villars, Verbier, even Gstaad.

I am trying not to panic. It hasn't been too bad so far but top up is needed. The opening day lot of terrain was open, not only 2 runs like last 2 years, Tortin was in a very ski-able condition. But also last year by this time I had already had 2 powder days.... This year on Sunday I opted to go skinning as skiing got totally unexciting. Probably will do the same this weekend. Skin to a restaurant with nice terrace, chill on a terrace for couple of hours and ski down to the village or even download from mid station - lower slopes have grass sticking out in many places and rocks and stones everywhere. Top slopes have base 90 cm - with sunny weather and without top up it won't last very long especially with crowds doubling up in these sort of conditions, people who usually ski elsewhere will be going to Verbier as lower resorts won't have enough snow to open.
From Geneva to France for skiing

"Best" is relative. Try Megeve or La Clusaz, or even Chamonix - the last one is a proper town, so plenty to do and scenery is hard to beat. All are very close to Geneva.

Check regular airlines. Might be cheaper. Also Monday return instead of Saturday/Sunday. Can make a difference.

It wasn't very warm but it's getting much warmer now and it's expected to stay like that for another two weeks unfortunately. Hopefully it doesn't mean a dry season - we had starts like that before and than it wouldn't stop snowing from January to May.
La Tour for beginners/improvers

You can check the Chamonix website for ski schools. When booking a lesson you can specify the area and meeting points. Le Tour is great for beginners/improvers.
Thank you, Swing Beep! As always very detailed and clear explanation
