Just to add my thoughts here. I am going away in January with 3 others. Flying Liverpool - Geneva with easy jet, hiring a mpv, self cater apartment, probably only couple apres ski jars full 3v lift pass, ski hire. All for a measly £1000....

Skiing went from a luxury holiday to being affordable. It is now luxury again. For me I would pay the extra to self arrange to avoid the trawl of boot queue where all the tour op go, getting to the airport 5 hours early because the gatwick flight goes earlier.

Not for me, but each to their own budget
