And I have been ski-ing for 2 hours this morning at Milton Keynes in the Ladies class (no inspection of knobbliness or hairiness so I got in okay). It was very difficult - like trying to ski with a couple of plums under my feet and my leg turned the wrong way :shock:
But at least I didn't fall over - just had to snow-plough down the first run and wondered for a bit if I could ski at all like that.

Tony, I'm sure I wrote somewhere at the beginning of this thread that Profeet do a life-time guarantee on the comfort fit of the boots, so I can take them back any time to get them re-fitted :D

Have got myself new boots in the end of season sales out here and they are amazing-make all the difference although I can feel your pain ally, i have had them in the shop the last 3 nights to get the fronts blown and the heels ground out slighty!

fresh snow yesterday and fresh snow over weekend will put them more to the test!

youre lucky-its like waterskiing here!! quite good fun though

been good solid snow all year right from the 5th dec when i came out but there have only been really 4 decent powder days which is disappointing compared to last season which had about 20!
have had 2 periods of 3weeks with no fresh snow but the way Bormio is nothing melted from before and luckily it was cold enough to keep it decent.
one thing that has been a constant annoyance is the "snow reports" weekly predicting snow for the weekend and it never arriving-we reckon its a ploy to get the city folks up to the mountains
although apparently predicted 60cm in the next 5 days which would be good......

i was JUST about to post the same thing tony-my old flatmate bought a pair of miss demenours for something similar with that binding and loves them-only thing was she wasnt hugely keen ont he graphics-little squirrels with knives and daggers?!!

the mens ARV is amaizng so i suspect the womens will be excellent but not cheap

safety in numbers-that is my plan!

im doing "stubies" tomorrow morning and possibly gates in the afternoon-if i can get a video taken ill stick it up for a laugh-and if i can find it ill stick the one of me doing full gates for the first time-that is a real laugh! had no pointers to how to ski a slalom course and the gates were hitting me in the face, shoulder and chest!

did you try the atomic one they had stashed behind the tent last week?
