The questions cover too many things for a single answer to each question.
If I got a new phone camera I'd probably just play with it (perhaps a glance at he guide to see how the get the back off it without breaking it to put the sim in). If it was a bed I'd look at the instuction leaflet on how to assemble it. Likewise a new activity - if I were planning on learning to drive I'd get one to one tuition, learning to roller skate I'd just go for it. Other things you might read about, join a club or get a bit of advice from a mate. In other words if you want specific answers to a question it has to be specific in nature. |

Or you can book ski carriage with bmibaby and still get charged again at Geneva airport because their handler doesn't understand that 1 ski carriage means 1 bag and not 1 way.
9 euros credit card payment fee and 4 months to get a refund! |

Early April is the Easter holidays so late booking might be tricky if your party is large.

The problem with the Muvi / Veho is knwing what you've got in view - it mounts ok to a ski pole but I struggled to get good videos - quality OK but far too many shots of my shadow, the ski and the piste and not enough of my daughter doing the required elements for her PE GCSE. The lack of view finder is the problem. Helmet mounting wasn't easy with my helmet but again it is surprising how much you you maintain your gaze just by moving your eyes even when you actively try to move your head to keep the view in shot.
The other problem with the videos was trying to get her to remember how to do snow plow turns and swings for the video having ditched snowplows years before after about 2 days on the snow! |

I would suggest wearing a long sleeve base layer (don't spend a fortune I take 3 otherwise each has to last 3 days!)
I wear a fleece (take a couple)over that underneath a breathable jacket. Not convinced re a hoody - if you have it up then fine but if not it'll fill with snow and make its way down the back of your neck! Better to take a balaclava that you can wear under a helmet or a fleece beany if you don't wear a lid. Never needed long johns under my salopettes but never been to North America and tend to go in Feb or March when it's not so cold. My wife and one of my daughters always wears them. I'd suggest 2 pairs of gloves or mittens so you can leave one in the chalet/hotel drying & at least 3 pairs of ski socks. |

Personally I hate the scrum in the hire shops.
When you find a pair of hire skis you like you could check out the on-line prices whilst in resort and use this to do a deal in resort. This tends to be easier later in the season. If there's no deal buy them on-line when you get home. |

Have you really got cardboard insoles in your boots?
Or have the stock insoles been removed and not replaced? |
