I'm sure you're right Ally; I guess she must have some fairly standard shaped feet ... unlike me !

After recently spending well into three figures on my first pair of owned ski boots (complete with liners, orthotics etc) I was contacted by a friend who told me she had just found a pair of perfect ski boots, worn once, in a charity shop for £45 ! Resemblances between myself and an unwell colourful ornithological specimen were noticed.

When I started reading this thread I did just check that I hadn't fallen asleep for six weeks and reawoken on April 1st, but, no, somebody really is marketing a heated helmet. Under-piste heating to stop us feeling chilly on the slopes can only be an invention away.

I thought you were a "personnel transportation and logistics consultant" ? |

Thanks both; I'll check them out. From everything I've heard I think I'd really like Serre Che.

I'd be quite interested, dates permitting. Would prefer to avoid the school holidays though !

They used to be pretty decent for relatively budget priced winter sports stuff in the UK if I remember rightly. Perhaps their role has been taken over these days by TK Maxx. Funnily though, on a recent trip to Austria, I went into a massive C&A store in Vienna and saw a great variety of ski wear, in far more varied styles and colours than you could find in aforementioned TKM.
