Best ski resort for non- skiers

The 3 Valleys Used to offer a pedestrial pass. With the numbers of gondolas she can get between Meribel and Courchevel easily, and also meet you up the mountain for lunches (or with your packed lunch!). There's also walking above Meribel Altiport.
Help please. General advice needed.

The SNCF snow trains from Paris cover most resorts. The main Chamonix valley resorts, Flaine, Les Carroz and Avoriaz can all be reached along with the Tarantaise resorts, 3 Valleys, La Plagnes, Les arcs, La Ros etc.

Speak to Rail Europe to ask for destination stations and approx prices.

We went out overnight, London - Paris - Cluses, and back Cluses - Paris - London to get to Flaine. Best to book Eurostar separately from the SNCF legs as it's much cheaper.
You might also want to consider Fogg who insure the British alpine teams, and as their website states, cover off-piste.

My understanding is that Carte / Carre Neige will not repatriate you, so you may get off the mountain to a French hospital, but you'll have to make your own way home!

I bet you've got a lovely Nevica ski suit to go with it which you bought after ditching your Rodeo 'racing pants'!

Do it! It'll be the best time of your life.

With German I'd go for somewhere like St Anton or Zermatt where you'd have a ball!
I wouldn't stay in Sixt. The few lifts there are ancient and it's a bus ride to Samoens to link into the GM.

If the GM then Morillon or Les Carroz might be best.
You will only ever find out how good your insurance is (or isn't) when it's too late. Seeing how often they reject claims and on what grounds gives an idea as to whether their insurance is worth the paper the documents are printed on.

Ideally find someone who has had a hassle free claim and see who they used.
