I went there some years ago so my answers might be out of date but I remember it as quite a bustling little place , not really a ski village but a bustling little town . The ski bus went round all the lifts up the mountain as far as Verclans but not as I remember it to the other ski villages,and it was free .There was a bus service I think to Morillon and Carroz.

I like Madonna Its a nice place to ski and reasonable value I can recommend the Alpina ..was really good value and comfortable ..As to early December you really are in the lap of the Gods but the Italians have snowmaking down to a fine art and you really wouldnt know most of the time ..but the best bet is to look at the snow record

I am driving to Italy in Feb and am thinking of going via rotterdam ..does anyone know about the dutch rules for transiting...they seem to want a letter from the country of destination now...very confusing

Any idea of what happens if you drive there

and I forgot to say if you do go round the Sella Ronda make sure you get back before the lifts close.....a taxi is VERY expensive ...as I found by experience!
