No 30 for me!!!

Whistler has the biggest ski area in Canada, but how about a two-centre trip? I'd heartily recommend Fernie for its lift accessed off-piste bowls and steep pistes with a few days at somewhere like Kicking Horse!

That's a good deal - especially with a flight from a regional airport!

Interesting thread; I've had trips to Austria and to Switzerland in the last two seasons that cost well under £1,000. Flew Swiss to Geneva and BA to Innsbruck (both worked out much cheaper than Easyjet), advanced tickets booked online for rail tranfers, accommodation booked through resort travel offices ('locals' prices). Doing this gives you the flexibility to travel midweek to midweek, avoiding the airport crushes at either end!

Nothing booked yet, but very close to booking Arosa-Lenzerheide in the first week of March - and a last minute somewhere else at another time in the season!

The embargo on British visitors imposed post-1975 has just been rescinded, I understand!
