Can remember the names of two bars which were pretty good, Fat Alberts & the Picadilly bar. Good après ski but it is seven years since my last visit. Dare say it has changed a lot.

I have also skied La Thuile, a ski station that seams to be just off the tourist radar! Never see it advertised in any of the ski brochures. Why is that?

Back to the thread, Le Face - Val Di'Sere has to be up there if only because all of the skiing public in the village are watching as one comes down on ones backside.

The TO's only seem to go to the Plannibel hotel/apartments I have never stayed there but used the facilities a couple of times 8)

It was a ski club trip organised through Interski I was on, stayed in the Plannibel hotel.

Oh I don't know, my daughter is pretty competative in everything she does. :-)

Okay, here's the script. There are definitely some skiing characters out there in J2ski land & maybe a bit of healthy competition throughout the season is just what is needed to keep the banter going. Nothing too serious mind just who will ski the most km of piste in any giving day over the coming season. To facilitate the above you need to be visiting a ski station where the lift system has skiline technology or similar which can data record your days skiing by registering your ski pass everytime you pass through the turn style of the lift system & works out the km skied & altitude gained. At the end of the day you go on line at skiline.cc & enter the number from your pass to retrieve your data. On return from your holiday post your results here & keep an eye on the thread to see how you fare. Possibly categorize men, women, vets, super vets etc.. :?:
If nothing else it will be another memory from a skiing holiday.

Definitely way too much time on my hands today.

Can't get away with it these days as all of the airlines charge for ski carriage, nominally around £20. On the positive side when you get to resort you are good to go.
