Where to go in Andorra

Dont be put off by the comments regarding queues. Was in Arinsal 3 years ago and found it ok. Just got back from Mayrhofen and can say that the queuing to get up and down the Penken was the worst I have ever encountered.
I am an Austrian skier at heart but would say that I have had good times in Andorra and would go back again. The Apres was always good and lively. The skiing was good and adequate unless you are an off piste adrenalin junkie. My only critism about the place on the whole was that I found the mountain eating places were generally poor and the service very slow.
Eating in the hotels and the resorts was fine.
Enjoy yourself theres plenty of snow. I have always found it not always where you go but the company you take with you or that you meet that makes a 'good holiday'!!
Beer prices please

Found the beer prices in Mayrhofen at Xmas were on a par with what they were in Schladming last season (E 3.50 - 3.80). I am back to Schladming on the 24th so will monitor the difference often!

Yes the Euro is not helping but it still really only equates to the prices I would have to pay for a pint in London. Not sure my wallet could cope with French 'Apres' however i'm sure Id try!!

AUSTRIA You know it makes sense!!!
Serious note the only thing I have found consistantly expensive in Austria is the price of ski intructors!!
I have found you cannot take a really pretty blonde one out for an evening for less than 50Euros!!
Ski instruction is good but expensive
Not my specialist subject but with nearly everywhere having good snow there is not a last minute rush to chase for it so as a result all the venues have to remain competitive to attract the punters.
Speaking to my local ski outlet befor xmas they said they were having a bigger rush on then for equipment then they normally do and the common theme was ' Can't sell our house, so sod it lets have another holiday'. The credit crunch maybe biting but its the jam in the house market which is really causing some folk headaches.
Just returned from Mayrhofen where my 16 year old daughter and friends forked out all of 3 Euros for plastic trays with a handles (designed for purpose) which gave them hours of fun on the slopes being teenagers and not worried what others might say if they saw them!! Put it this way she bought the damn thing home so it obviously worked well!

Oops thought the resort was quite well known. Might have to do some internet research for them then. You cannot beat the knowledge of those that have actually been there and can talk from their level of ability.
Patience is a virtue, wait and someone will respond!!
