This would appear to be a hopeless choice, but the lesser of two. Martin Bell recently posted elsewhere, a picture of the Beijing slopes in January past. Think snowless mountain, except for half a dozen narrow strips of machine snow.
The IOC clearly just don't get it. "In response IOC officials said the benefits of staging an Olympics greatly exceeded the costs." Well clearly, the world's snow areas do not believe that to be the case. Countries withdrawing from an IOC bid speaks volumes. |

Hi Paddy, I just went, (Austria), and worked several jobs before being invited to work for the ski school.
Given that you would prefer some certainty, I list the following.... ~ Contact Peter Baker on FB, he has a great knowledge of Andorra. ~ Contact Natives ~ Contact the the separate local tourist boards, they may send out your email to all local employers ~ choose a location, and email all hotels, ski businesses, lift companies, and others. |

I think that is unfortunate. I have only ever used the Crystal service once, and that was in the Jungfrau region, an area that has multiple benefits from using the service. The main area benefit was the good use of local knowledge.
In our group, there were a dozen or so skiers, mainly good intermediate, but with two or three of us more experienced skiers. The group kept up a fair speed. helped each other out, where required. On a couple of runs, the more experienced skiers were directed towards some trickier runs, with meet up places, for the group to catch up. As one would expect, a good social aspect sprung up. The standard of skiing/boarding of the Crystal reps was good. |

There is no such thing, YoungAndy. I did ask for a pass reduction at the skiwelt, a few years back. They offered a discount if you were over 80, as long as your grandparents were still alive....
Because I am wedded to Austria, I have, for many years bought a season card, for either the Allstar, or Tirol. Not this season, I am afraid, I am being coerced into re-visiting places I have skied over. I fear the Colorado 2 week pass is likely to cost more than a European season card. |

About to book my January EJ flights to Munich ~~~ for free! Again with Natwest card. Unfortunately, after a daft European ruling, Natwest have had to discontinue their points system.
Oh well, I have had 12 consecutive years of free flights. |
