It is starting to look like there may be a break from the very dry conditions across France, hopefully the present warm conditions won't do too much damage before any new snow arrives.
Fingers crossed, dance shoes cleaned and polished! |

Can you wait and see?
See where is the best snow and then book the holiday? So much can change in the next six weeks - Austria is doing well at the moment and, as you say, France is very poor, but all this can change. |

Sorry Tony, not b******s but I can't prove it. Blue Peter were filming an episode of Duncan Dares in Les Arcs in 1986 and they stayed in the hotel I was running. Great fun was had by all. My one and only descent of the KL happened as I said earlier and the guy at the finish said I had done 120-130kph. So I chose the higher figure  |

I was clocked at 130kph on the KL in Les Arcs = 80mph
I was seriously scared  I had to go down the run as the side was some steep and big icy moguls and my poles had been "borrowed" by a film crew to tape a camera to as the real speed skier went down (with my poles and a camera). This was well before head cameras etc. They told me to just tuck and under no circumstances try to slow down but wait for the run out which is uphill. I survived but never again. |
