I once used snowblades out in Mongenvre for a week in excellent snow conditions and had great fun. I think I was probably a fourth week skier at the time and I found them a confidence boost partly because there wasn't so much ski to get round a tight turn in say a gulley or narrow piste, but mainly because they got me pointing down the mountain rather than skiing very wide zig zags right across the piste. Traversing isn't great on blades anyway because they vibrate - can't think how else to describe it!
Tried using them in Zermatt and found them hopeless and went back to skis.
The sooner you two jet off to the slopes the better! Perhaps the rest of us can get a bit of peace and quiet :D

Aha, Serre Che. I like, very much.
I'd be interested to hear a review from you on Ski Miquel in terms of overall package, customer service, value for money, food, chalet quality, etc

If you dont mind of course?

Enjoy SC. Jealous. Much

PM on way !

Since I started this thread, I have done a lot of 'small print' investigation, but although at times I have felt so frustrated that I could throw a ski boot at someone, I have finally reached an apparently successful conclusion and this morning took out an annual policy for the two of us with Direct Travel. What friendly and helpful people to deal with, everything explained thoroughly and a good level of cover at very reasonable cost.

Thank you everyone for help, advice and suggestions. :D
Oh for Goodness sake - pull yourself together!!!!!
