Rather narrow indeed.

The range of skis are generally highly though of so i don't imagine you can go (far) wrong.

Just back from flying Jet2, probably the worst plane I have ever been on. Ever. The (recaro) seats did recline and the staff were pleasant enough.

We pre-booked seats online-at a charge of course. Plane was pretty empty. 1 hour delay out bound, 1 hour early coming back. We got 23kg each with Jet2 and I paid extra for the ski bag which weighed about 23 kg as well, no questions asked.

It might get hammered but it might not. Traditionally they may get more snow than usual but it is not a dead cert. Chances are the snow that does fall will fall with warmer air so could be quite heavy and wet.

There are 2 real options if you want to learn how to 'carve'.

Option 1: Get opinions, watch videos and read online.

Option 2: Get some lessons.

The most quick, painless and effective method is arguably to get lessons. This would be my advice.

You should have purchased new gear and billed the ski company/insurance company. Too late now.

Next time get some good insurance with plenty gear cover so you can just replace it all straight off.
