thanks everyone, all taken on board
I'm suprised that right foot in front means goofy, I'd have thought right foot was more common which the term "regular" would infer :hunf:. I think I'll do some googling. Tony, I assume that was one of your boarder mates in the clip on the scotts thread? It's all booked now, 2nd Feb (two weeks today but I'm not counting, honestly!) and I've got four hours of private tuition booked for Arabba. I may do more - it's unbelievably cheap there . I feel like a kid with a new toy  |

sounds like your perfect day. nice one  |

sorry Pablo, I meant bindings that release. This is all so new, it's really exciting :D
A boarder in our chalet this holiday caught me unaware (after talking about my desire to try it) and my right foot fell forward. I assume this is regular? boardbiker, thank you. I've got the feeling that it may really be for me but I don't know why and I may be wrong! I absolutely can't wait. Tony, bless your warm soft side . Don't worry about me, I'm a tough little cookie |

Then don't! I think that, as your holiday is a year away, you'd benefit from a snow slope. Have some lessons and once you can link your turns you can go and get lots of practice on the slope, particularly during the summer when it's empty. You can then book yourself into the next level of classes in resort (they'll move you up or down accordingly). It's better than spending a day side stepping up a little slope, you'll be WELL past that bit if you can get down one of the snow slopes which are generally green/blue and then, once you're on your holiday, you'll see a lot more of the mountain  |

blonde moment from the non-blonde, weight is for bindings which I, obviously, won't have
I'm hoping the joy will override the bumps and bruises. I'm assuming that I won't have to worry about my knee brace as it'd be pretty hard for me to twist my knees? |

Tomorrow I'll be booking mr-a and I into the learn-in-a-day course at Hemel for early Feb. I'm borrowing my friend's knee, back and wrist guards and reclaiming my Bonfire salopettes back from my eldest  which I'll be wearing low
Do I need anything else or has anyone got any tips for me. Do I need to know my weight, etc? Do I need to clip my toenails? Any specific areas to concentrate on with the exercises. Lingo I need to learn... I'm already feeling a bit like a leper so please be nice :D |
