These sound like a couple of great places, I'm going to Courchevel on the 16th and have heard some ludicrous prices to eat and drink at some places. I was planning on filling up on breakfast (already paid for) to save money lol. So suggestions for places to eat would be very welcome.

I was just wondering which site people think is the most reliable for snow forecasts? I was looking for courchevel snow forecasts and they all say slightly different things, they are all pointing to snow falling this weekend but with some forecasting snow to start falling tomorrow and others forecasting it to not fall until next Monday I was just wondering if anyone had any particular favourite sites they always use to find out the forecast?

BBC news reporting the unseasonally high temperatures in the Austrian Alps.

Worst: Mont genvre March 2005. It hadn't snowed for a month prior, temps were crazily high and there were only 6 runs open in the entire resort. So it was sheet ice until about 11am then slushy in the afternoon, this persisted for a week so we got to know the bars very well indeed.
Best: Les Arcs February 2009, fantastic amounts of powder. Snowed most nights and was sunny during the days. The conditions couldn't have been more perfect. |
