It's Friday night folks, Admin's probably getting recreational. Look quickly before he gets back and spoils the fun.
Trencher, you clearly have too much time on your hands. |

Wow! My kind of skier. The fast Gondola is a big help, and I bet he didn't have to queue! That is a lot of day skiing.

Just to add to Pablo's post, if you can manage 2, (or more!), consecutive weeks, then there are multiple benefits to be claimed over 2 separate weeks.
Assuming you set it up right, ~ confidence, capability, balance, knowledge will all improve. Balance is a tangible, and it is an enabler for the other benefits. |

Mmmm, which side of the bar was that, Ian? |

It's all human nature.
So when my scouse, now Kiwi, ski buddy and I were working in Niederau, about 90 years ago, he was all talk, about purple wax v red wax, or was it blue. Me, knowing nowt, would try to shift the ground to banjo or blues music. Anyway, I could never match him on ski stuff, he had three seasons start on me. He returned to Niederau this season, early March, his first winter visit since 1974, our last season together. It was a great meet up, the 4 of us from way back, and all of the next generation of young eagles, all together. They all had 2 weeks, I had three. Anyway, I digress. Fair to say, that living in NZ is not conducive to a continuing ski life. OTOH, skiing 500km a week, for loads of weeks per season, definitely is. I confess to steering the conversation a little. I let it slip that I had my edges sharpened ~ twice in two days. And that I had requested an 88 degree cut. (Thanks Trencher!) Arghh, revenge! |
