The BBC are just reporting something that happens almost every year.

With you on this Dave.
After a few extremely good Decembers this becomes the norm in peoples minds.
My first ski trip was to a low, little, Austrian resort - mid January. Ours was the first week of that season that the low slopes had been open.
Snow cannons have hugely extended the season across the years allowing for a far more reliable start and end to the season in what is, after all, an industry totally reliant on the weather.

Worst snow EVER !!

1984 - Sarajevo Olympics weeks, and I know this coz I watched a lot of telly in bars ...
Val D'Isere - nursery slopes open

But nothing, absolutely nothing else for 4 days.
Too much snow - this was the killer.

And on a more important note..... I also find that wearing one stops my hair from sticking up at odd angles, its works wonders as a hair net for those of us more fashion conscious ladies.

Doesn't it get uncomfortable in the night?
Mind you could see it helping to block out the noises from the paralytic late night crowd staggering home.

Think so - mine don't say Hi Vent but the rest is identical.
Paid high £20's about 3 years ago if MSMR.
Wearing very well so far.
