Started by User in France, 14 Replies
Hi there

Welcome to the site.

sorry I dont really know a lot (ok, i know nothing lol( about les arcs or france but thought i would welcome you.

By the way I notice you posted this in ski chatter. you might get a better response posting it in the France section.

JonG knows a lot about the area and is very helpful.

Enjoy your trip

Suitable Ski Jacket - Breathable type (Unless renting)

what does that mean unless renting? You wouldnt need a jacket or sallopettes if you are renting? we are renting ours from our local ski sports shops and I would still expect the same standards from the equipment regardless of whether I was buying or renting it.
That is a stunning view Ross. Have you been away like?
And Yes I am easily amused lol!!

Re snow chain - does the wheelbarrow have steel or alloy wheel?

thats hilarious brucie! dont start another debate about snow chains..............which by the way I ended up going for cheap ones off ebay. Hubby is going to fathom them out this week! so fingers crossed lol.

2 weeks and counting!! will let you know how I get on.

Oh and while we are talking about Niderau, just exactly how do you say it! Folk keep asking me where abouts in Austria I am going and everytime I say it, it comes out different lol!

Couple of nights ago, I had a dream. I was skiing down Niederau's Mercenweiss, (run 19 to you lot), with one son on each side, turn for turn. We were all wearing the Kilt.

I mentioned this dream to my sons, the next day, and.... their eyes lit up.

The thing is, for the first time in four years, we will all be skiing in Niederau in late January. Is it possible....

So did you all manage to ski in your kilts? lol
