Well to both of you !! And Scapula, I do realise that you have your own particular and unique set of "circumstances" to contend with. Something that, thankfully, I have not experienced! :D But ..... Needing to get from Meribel Mottaret to Courchevel (and back) 4 times most Saturdays (sometimes 6!) in a Sherpa Minibus hones the skills needed. Chains needed up in Mottaret, but not the road to, and through, Meribel. Chains needed for run to Courchevel (past La Tania, but that didn't exist then), but not in Courchevel .... And return :mrgreen: Chains laid out so they are not tangled ..... Decent gloves, not too thick .... and practice! That way you can just slip on those old snow chains. :thumbup: |

Yes .... But ........ :D You will thank us that time you nearly get stuck but can just slip on those chains and drive on !!!! |
